Join to apply for the Accounting Assistant role at Scion Staffing Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting Assistant for our client, a respected public agency in San Diego. This position is a full-time onsite temporary role based in San Diego, CA. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accounting Assistant will provide essential financial and administrative support, including invoice processing, data entry, and document coordination to ensure smooth and efficient departmental operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial workflows during a period of heavy workload. The ideal professional is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with strong organizational skills. PERKS: Professional experience within a respected public-sector organization. RESPONSIBILITIES: Process invoices, financial documentation, and accounting-related administrative tasks. Maintain accuracy and consistency in accounting and financial workflows. Assist with data entry, recordkeeping, and reconciliation support as needed. Communicate professionally with internal staff and external vendors. Utilize SAP or other financial systems to support department functions. Execute tasks independently with strong attention to detail and time management. QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in accounting or finance. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Experience handling invoices, payments, or financial administrative tasks. Proficiency with office technology; SAP experience is a plus. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: This is a temporary position offering a competitive hourly rate of $33/hr . Benefits are available for eligible Scion Staffing temporary employees, which may include health, vision, and dental in accordance with assignment length.
